• ALLPI ATTENDED THE QMS SELF-ASSESSMENT TOOL TRAINING WORKSHOP

    Africa Leather and Leather Products Institute (ALLPI) is proud to announce the participation in Technical Cooperation Training Workshop under the title: “Strengthening the Quality Infrastructure for Selected Sectors in the EAC Project (95375-03):

    The program was conducted at Kampala, Uganda by the National Metrology Institute (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt - PTB)

    The training program’s objective was to Capacity Building on the Implementation of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) Self- Assessment Tool for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMES) in the Leather Value Chain within the framework of the project for EAC.

  • ALLPI organized three days training on Basic First Aid Training

    ALLPI in collaboration with Ethiopian Red Cross Society Training Institute organized 3 days Basic First Aid Training from 5th – 7th July 2023. This training was attended by 18 ALLPI staff members and the training was organized with the objective of awareness creation on First Aid and basic life saving fundamentals.

  • Quality and Environmental Objectives

    • To maintain integrated QMS ISO 9001:2015 and EMS ISO 14001:2015 System through the ALLPI Mid-Term Reviewed Strategic Plan 2016–2025 interventions under Strategic Objective 1 (Activities 1.2, 1.6, 1.10, 1.11) and Strategic Objective 5 (Activity 5.1).
    • To promote the importance of quality and cleaner production throughout the leather value chain, at the ALLPI Annual Regional Consultative Forum and on demand, as an integrated approach (See ALLPI Mid-Term Reviewed Strategic Plan 2016–2025 interventions under Strategic Objective 1 (Activity 1.2), Strategic Objective 5 (Activity 5.2), Strategic Objective 6 (Activities 6.3 and 6.4)
    • To develop internal review system on complaints for service delivery to ALLPI Member States covering the period 2022 (see the ALLPI Mid-Term Reviewed Strategic Plan 2016–2025 interventions under Strategic Objective 1 (Activities 1.2 and 1.6)).
    • To continue building the capacity of the employees based on learned experience, through training at least once per year and on demand, regarding Quality and Environmental Management and on other trainings identified as per planned training arrangements of the Institute (see the ALLPI Mid-Term Reviewed Strategic Plan 2016–2025 interventions under Strategic Objective 1 (Activities 1.2 and 1.6)).
    • To Upscale ALLPI’s experiences in successful accomplishment of Quality and Environment related projects (UNOPS-Switch Africa Green, TBT-REACH Compliance and Regional and National value chain strategies) to Member States and other beneficiaries (see the ALLPI Mid-Term Reviewed Strategic Plan 2016 – 2025, interventions under Strategic Objective (Activities 5.1 and 5.2).
