Partial View of the Cluster Management WorkshopTwelve footwear and leather goods artisan graduated amid fun and pomp at Moba Hotel in Kitwe, Zambia on 10th of May 2013. The occasion was graced by Dr Mwinyikione Mwinyihija who is the director of the COMESA/LLPI, who sponsored the course.

 

In his remarks he pointed out that there was a need to improve the technical and business management capacity of entrepreneurs. In this vein his organization has entered into strategic partnership with leading international leather technology institutes, in an effort to put in place mechanisms of transferring state of the art technology to the COMESA region. He also emphasized that COMESA/LLPI was ready to work with the University of Copperstone in developing and capacitating its Leather and Leather Products department. This artisan underwent a week long intensive course in Business Management training. The modules, objectives of the training are summarized in the table below.
