The International Council of Tanners Executive Committee Meeting was held in a hybrid mode (both physically and virtually) at Red Lounge, Centro Servizi, Rho Fiera, Milan, Italy on 20 September 2022. The ALLPI Team, led by the Executive Director Prof. Mwinyihija, attended the meeting virtually from Ethiopia.
The ICT Executive Committee meeting is the meeting of the council for the year 2022. Nine members of the Executive Committee attended the meeting physically while three joined virtually.
The objective of the Meeting was to discuss and deliberate on the activities of the council and pressing issues of the leather sector. The meeting was officially opened by the President of the Council, Prof. Mwinyihija Mwinyikione after welcoming the participants.
The ICT Executive Committee meeting, after thorough discussion and deliberation on Management issues, leather industry country reports, World Leather Congress 2024, Product Environmental Carbon Footprint, and on other industry strategic issues, was successfully concluded. The date and venue for the next ICT Executive Committee meeting will be 11th of March, 2022 and for the ICT Council meeting 12th of March, 2023 in Dubai at the World Trade Center which will also house the APLF 2023 during the same period.
