Africa Leather and Leather Products Institute (ALLPI), in its endeavor to promote intra-regional and international trade in the leather sector, fully sponsored 9 leather SMEs from nine Member countries to participate during the 11th edition of All Africa Leather Fair (AALF) which was held 9th – 12th November 2019 at Millennium Hall, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The SMEs were drawn from Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Sudan, Uganda and Zambia. The participated SMEs were selected by its respective country government ministries.
During the event, SMEs were exposed to the dynamics of trade, quality, inputs and accessories of leather and leather products. In addition, SMEs made B2B linkages with other counterparts which will assist them to improve their respective business operation.
During the event, ALLPI organized consultative meeting with the participants to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the leather business at national, regional and international level.
ALLPI also promoted the IULTCS Congress 2021 and the 5th World Leather Congress to be organized by ALLPI in 2021.
